                                         Book Description:

A gray-bearded and very dignified old man stood up. “Your Majesty, King Hyperion, no one has traveled to the Earth’s surface in more years than I can count in a lifetime. We have no allies there and do not know what has become of the surface since we first escaped to the Prism. Are you certain it will be safe for Prince Ammon?”

“If the rumors I’ve heard about Deimos are true, there is nowhere in the Prism that will be safe for the prince,” replied the king. “I will send allies with him to Earth, and we shall pray for his safe return.”

Another older man, also very distinguished and gray-haired, clothed in a dark golden tunic and an elongated beret of brilliant silver, stood beside his chair and spoke earnestly. “Is Your Majesty aware that two of your personal guards were found unconscious with high fevers and near death after attending you and Prince Ammon last evening? Small, deep wounds were found on both men. The physician suspects they were bitten by some sort of poisonous animal.”
